M MBALEKKAN TEACHER: An Ethno Pedagogy Study on Efforts to Cultivate Religious Moral Values for AUD in the Bugis Ethnic Community in Sungai Pandan Village, Batu Ampar District

Abstract
This article discusses the "Mbalekan Guru" tradition in the Bugis community in Sungai Pandan Village, Batu Ampar Kubu Raya District, West Kalimantan. "Mbalekkan Guru" is a term used for the practice of giving gifts to village Koran teachers after children have finished learning to read the 30 chapters of the Koran. "Mbalekkan Guru" is carried out by parents during their child's Qur'an khataman procession. The gifts given are usually in the form of: bunge telok (boiled eggs packaged in artificial flowers), roasted free-range chicken, skullcap, black and white sticky rice, Al-Quran, clothes, and a set of prayer tools. In Sungai Pandan Village, the majority of children aged 4-8 years have finished studying the Koran. This mini research uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. The data sources are Bugis Sungai Pandan and AUD parents aged 4-8 years. This research concludes based on ethno-pedagogical studies, that the "Mbalekan Guru" tradition can be seen as an effort by parents to instill moral-religious values in their children. Some of these moral-spiritual values are: respect for teachers, expressing gratitude, giving alms with the best materials, motivating other children to study the Qur'an actively and always regularly reading the Qur'an as the holy book of the Muslim community.
